The meeting had focused on how the financial support received within the award had been utilized, the extent of the application diffusion, and the development of the projects of a similar nature. The session also had highlighted the contribution of the current project to open new job opportunities besides the challenges which are facing the projects currently, and finally the expected support from the ministry and its affiliates to these projects from the perspective of their owners.

The participants had mentioned the importance of the support of the ministry to the small companies at various financial institutions and donors, as some of these institutions deal only through the governments. Moreover, the necessity to take advantage of the capacities, capabilities, and the wasted expertise of the small companies by providing them with the opportunity to share the governmental tenders and support them to increase their expertise and expand their business. The participants had also stated that the small firms need the support to participate in international and regional exhibitions, the support shouldn’t be only by helping companies to exist, but to provide match-making opportunities to them with major companies or giant projects inside and outside Egypt.

In this context the participants had discussed as well, the possibility of the participation of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in the Women Economic Forum 2020 that is expected to be hosted in Egypt in March 2020 in coordination with the National Council for Women. It was proposed to hold a panel to present the success stories of pioneer girls and women in the field of Communications and Information Technology (ICT) and discuss their challenges in various related fields. The meeting also elaborated upon the possibility of holding match-making sessions between the Egyptian companies and entrepreneurs from a side and their international counterparts from another side to support these national innovative project ideas to be available in the international market and achieve the desired success.

Finally, the meeting had concluded that winning the award is just the first step to success, and that the ministry will continue to contact the winners on regular basis and support them locally and internationally to promote their business models and exploit their capabilities.
